CSR Activities

A company's net worth is not known from figures alone. In reality, the emotional and ethical profile of a business is more valuable than the profit earned. Keeping this in mind, Gokhale Constructions &Properties Pvt. Ltd. is involved in various philanthropic activities.

Gokhale Constructions is proud to have made a contribution to Sakal's 'SarvaJalAbhiyan' initiative in 2014. Sakal Media Group launched this drive in the year 2013 with the aim of making the State drought-free. With our contribution, we hope to help this initiative meet and sustain its noble goal.

Gokhale Constructions sponsors the Gokhale Cup, an All India Ranking Jr. Tennis Tournament for children under the age of 12 organized by Deccan Gymkhana. Such initiatives contribute towards inculcating healthy habits and a spirit of sportsmanship among the youth of today.

Gokhale Constructions has been associated with Sakal's 'TandurustBandobast' (healthy policing) initiative since its launch. The initiative, launched in all parts of Pune in 2013, was aimed towards improving the health of police personnel. Gokhale Constructions' CMD, along with other dignitaries from the city, distribute chikki to the police personnel as a part of the initiative.

On a monthly basis, the company distributes groceries, goodies and other necessary items to 'Nivara', an old age home. Besides sponsoring these basic necessities, the Company also arranges for an outing and dinner for these senior citizens, once a year. This activity has been running for the past few years now and the inmates of this home for the aged genuinely enjoy the spirit shown by the company.

Gokhale Constructions & Properties Pvt. Ltd. also believes in nurturing cultural interests in the society. PoonamGokhale, a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, has taken this responsibility upon herself. She, therefore, grooms students under her guidance and promotes them for various exams, Arangetramprogrammes, recitals etc. She also supports the cultural passion of a few underprivileged girls by teaching them free of cost and offering them opportunities for stage shows. The dedication and generosity with which Mrs. Gokhale carries out these activities is remarkable and has truly helped uplift the cause of Indian culture and heritage.
